More about the painted houses

Good walking this afternoon, these deer popping their heads up in a buttercup meadow, their antlers are growing well now. Deer seem to be so common now, like seeing rabbits! It was my daughters first go at driving in country lanes since she passed her test and she did really well. there is alot of pulling over and getting onto the verge to pass other cars.
I looked back through my photos and found the photo above that I had taken in 2001 of the Swanage cottage with the painted dog and as you can see there is another dog added to the more recent picture. So well done they both look as if they have been there for ever. The dog in the window must have been 'Donut' by the writing on the wall.

Hi Snowgoosey, just catching up on blogs. Happy belated birthday, as you say the Fleet is something special, just the name Moonfleet conjures up mist, smugglers and a full moon. Lovely place. Good to see the dog cottage before and after too. And yes there do seem to be a lot more deer about than before.

The dog painting is very interesting and yes it looks like both dogs belong in the painting. It's fun to see the before and after picture.
Thanks so stopping by my blog and leaving a wonderful comment. I just discovered that Crisco doesn't exist in the UK, you can substitute with the same amount of butter or margarine, I've used both. Most recipes call for either butter or margarine anyway. Hope this helps.
