What a lovely sunny weekend we have had. I had been on nightshift but managed 2 hours sleep before getting up and going off to the pub with this view! One of our sons pre paid for us to have a meal
at the pub as a Christmas present. It was a really nice meal and a great idea for a clutter free gift!....or maybe it adds clutter around the waistline! This place has the most amazing view over Corfe Castle and we do go there quite often! What is nicer than a meal in January sat by a roaring fire and enjoying this view. Watching sparrows in the bushes and Buzzards flying around looking for some dinner themselves.
A walk through the woods near Wareham yesterday, a clear sky and the moon out too, you can just see it in this picture.

We discovered that lovely pub when we holidayed in Dorset...such a beautiful setting isn't it? :0)

Sounds wuite idyllic. I have not been to Corfe castle, since I was a child, but now we are living in Somerset, it's on my "must have a day out and see" list.

If you do visit, it's called the Scott Arms and is at Kingston and right at the top of the hill x

I went for lunch there once, with some former work colleagues. Such an amazing view and good food too! We then went for a wonderful walk along the coastal path. One of my New Year`s Resolutions is to get out walking in the Purbecks more often.

What a perfect gift!
It's been very cold here. Spent the weekend painting our kitchen.
